Tributes

My husband Alec and I were so blessed to have my sister Lorna in our lives and we were very blessed to visit her 4 times at the retirement home last year in April. We also visited our cousin David Browne at his home together last year. We praise God for the opportunites that we spent together. We were looking forward to her celebrating her 90th birthday on the 18th of April but God had better plans. Going back to 2002, i spent about 3 months with Lorna at her home in Blockhouse Bay, there was never a dull moment with her, we were always doing something for somebody or going somewhere. Lorna would go to the nursery buy the plants and off we would go to do her friend Ina's garden, while Lorna got busy in the garden I had morning tea with Ina. We always went out to have a cup of tea as you may know she loved her tea and she had a favourite spot at a mall. One day we went to get her car washed, that was a first for me and she was so happy to show me everything, she put her card in but forgot to close the window on her side and we both got sprayed and the dashboard got wet and she said "oh it doesn't matter because the dashboard got a cleaning". Lorna was proud of her flower garden and spent alot of time in it. We also spent alot of time walking around the neighbourhood admiring the different plants. I'm going to really miss my sister and our chats, we had the opportunity to talk at least once a week for an hour at a time. We will all miss her and look forward to that glorious day, when we will all meet up once again. Sending all our love to Lorna's family and we will continue to keep you in our prayers.
