Sadly passed away 30 March 2025 at the age of 95, with the company of family around her at her rest home, in Tauranga. Dearly loved wife of the late Lloyd Saunders. Very much treasured and loved mother and mother in law of Jan and Barry, Fred and Judy, Liz, Rob(deceased), Peter and Rosemary. Also adored Grandma to her 12 grandchildren and GG to her 19 great grandchildren, with more on the way. Margaret was a loving person and a privilege to have had her in our lives for so long. The family are incredibly grateful for the amazing care and attention by the staff at Bob Owens that they gave to Margaret.
A service to celebrate Margaret’s life will be held at St Columba Presbyterian Church, 502 Otumoetai Road, on Thursday, 10 April 2025 at 11.00am. Communications can be sent to the Saunders Family, c/- Legacy Funerals, PO Box 3136, Tauranga 3142

To the family of Margaret Saunders, please accept our deepest sympathy at the passing of Margaret. When popping in to see Margaret and Lloyd (and laterly just Margaret) we would be welcomed with great hospitality and a long chat. Peter always loved catching up with Lloyd and the sailing trips he did with him as a crew member. I always shared Margaret's fears of sailing and could understand that. It was lovely to see her settle in her new home not so long ago and joining in with activities there . A gracious and lovely lady. Love from , Peter and Jan Johnson.
