Died recently aged 87. She had been unwell for a while but battled through it stoically. She is now at peace. She was the matriarch of our family, a devoted mother of Karen, Greg, Lisa, Nicola and Rima, mother-in-law to Jan, Tony, and Hamish. Grandmother to Bronwyn, Rowan, Sophie, Sean, Jayden, Finn, Madeline, Angus, Max, and Serafina. She was especially proud of her three great grandchildren, Isobel, Amara, and Mia.

 Janet was one of those people who worked tirelessly. Whether it was the Labour Party, the Catholic Church, or any number of local organisations she always gave her all. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St Anthony's Catholic Church, 20 Kirkbride Rd, Mangere on 5 April at 11am.
