Moe mai ra whaea. Sending all our love and condolences to the Whānau pani. May all your memories of Joan bring you strength, comfort, and peace as you mourn her loss and celebrate her legacy. We have very fond memories of Joan in the early 2000s at the Welcome bay community church. I remember her big bright smile with bright red lipstick, cheerful and quiet personality and her love for music, always playing the violin (which, as a kid, I thought it was a ukulele and often wondered why she played it upside-down). Thank you for allowing us to come and pay our respects. It was a beautiful service for a beautiful lady who we were blessed to have known. To Pastor George, I want to acknowledge you and show my appreciation and gratitude for your guidance and support when we mourned the loss of our Mother (Kiwi Tata) in 2013 and our Papa (Tunney Tata) in 2002. It was an honor to have you lead both services, we are forever grateful. Arohanui, Tata Whānau.
Sad to hear of Joan’s passing. It was a lovely service.
We have heartfelt treasured memories of you, lovely Joan with your George, which go back to your time in Palmerston North and when George was in Wellington. You have been so welcoming, talented, authentic, fun loving and compassionate over all the years since. Our children Kym, Jenny and Michael recall you with respect and fondness from your days in Green Bay and in the heady days of Social Credit and are thinking of you, Julia and Rodney. With you in spirit today Much love to you George from Bruce and Lynne. xoxo
