Pam and I first met when Vanessa persuaded me to travel with her to New Zealand. We had two weeks with Pam travelling around the North Island. I had heard the family history before we finally arrived at her farm house in the countryside near Stratford.. We were friends from then on and enjoyed each others' company every year until recently when the long flight to England became too much for Pam. She was a colourful character who inspired her daughters to travel abroad. She even accompanied her elderly mother on a trip around Europe with Vanessa and Michele. The girls were working in the UK and had planned a tour to unmissable capitals. Only two pioneering ladies like Pam and her Mother would have embarked on such an adventure. Pam was unique and I shall miss her. I feel very lucky to have been her friend. God Bless her.

Mrs Binnie, my personal Nana Mouskouri (hehehe), my music teacher and best of all, my mum's (Bella Pomana) best friend for ever and ever. So many memories of Huinga and the Binnie Family come to mind and probably far too many to write about on here. Michele, Kirsten and Neha (as my mum would call you), all of my love to you and your own families. I am so sorry that I cannot attend mum's celebration today but I will be viewing the service online today. Vibrant colours and especially red - oh my gosh yes. She would love that. Fly high beautiful lady. You are always on my mind and will forever remain in my heart. All my love to the family xx

Pam was a treasured member of the Central Taranaki Community Patrol for over 15 years, dedicating her time and energy to keeping our community safe. Her commitment was unwavering, and it was truly an honour to have her as part of our team. Pam’s vibrant personality, love for life, and passion for colour made her unforgettable. She brought light, warmth, and kindness wherever she went, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. Pam’s legacy of care, joy, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.

Pam and I were to celebrate our 70th anniversary next year. We shared our entire teenage years, the fun and laughter, and were each other's bridesmaids. I already miss her.

Pam was my first teacher at Huinga Primary School, and my piano teacher. Pam was part of the Huinga community a great lady and special friend to many. Her love of theatre and music was a tribute to her musical abilities. Sorry I cannot be there to wish mum farewell, Michele. Kirsten and Vanessa but will watch on live stream. Thinking of your all at this sad time your mum was a special lady.

Pam was a neighbour at springdale waikato. She was later my teacher. Well remember the piano accordian and hand made poi as we twirled them in our class. Lovely to catch up with her at our last reunion.Be at peace.
