Acknowledgement Notice:

RODLEY, Heather Jill (nee Lindsay):

28.11.47 - 23.4.25

“I want to be cremated immediately, scattered, and NO funeral”

Yeah right - for somebody who touched so many lives.  That’s why there were so many written tributes and over 400 at the Celebration.

Geoff wants to thank hospital staff for their efforts, to thank Kelsey and Casey of Eagars, so many people who rang, called, sent food with all their love and care.  Thank you everyone for the tributes, and cards. It would be impossible to reply in person, but know my appreciation.

Thanks to our church family at Brooklands for your love and actions.

Thanks family for such a brilliant, funny, loving time together - she would be so proud of the family she created -  Aidan, and Natasha, and Amanda, Samantha (amazing) & Hamish, Hamish & Anna, Noah & Ava, Scott, Dakota, and Mekhi. Thanks Unforgettables.   Thanks to all who travelled. Thanks Trent and Kathryn.

Thanks to all who attended Tuesday’s Celebration and those who have viewed it.  Thanks Derek and Suzie for what you shared.

Still amazed the energiser bunny went so quickly and is not here.

I am available to do the haircutting!

Married 55 years yesterday.

Reunited with family and her Lord.

Love you so much!

Geoff, Aidan, Natasha and Families What a beautiful tribute to such a lovely lady. Geoff I have managed to watch it this afternoon and so sorry I couldn't be there on the day but Unfortaunaley was unwell. Heather was an exceptional lady and the tribute from Suzi was so true Heather made you feel special whenever you meet her whether it was getting haircut, playing sport or just catching up in the street, she just had a very special way about her. In 1979 when you moved back to Stratford Heather put a kitchen tea on for me in June. I have never forgotten that. You folk now have to adjust life without a lovely wife partner/mother it will not be easy but the memories will live on for ever Heather would have made sure of that. I am so thankful the last 6 months I have spoken with Heather a number of times and was able to see here just before Christmas at Marks funeral. God Bless you all. Sending Bigs hugs Geoff. Love Joan and Bruce Coffey Morrinsville

Dear Geoff and family. It was with deep shock and sadness to hear of Heather’s passing. We didn’t know her for long but the time we did leaves loving and lasting memories. She always visited when we stayed at our Aunty Thelma’s in Vogeltown. You have both been wonderful support for her. Heather often took her out shopping and for lunch and when we were staying from Tauranga she would visit. She was partial to sweets and biscuits I would bring down and we always enjoyed a cup of coffee and chat. We know how much Thelma enjoyed her company and so appreciated what she did for her. We watched the funeral from here in Tauranga and it was awesome, amazing, wonderful, funny, heartwarming and so Heather. We would loved to have come down for her life celebration but were unable to.Heather will be so sadly missed as she leaves a huge void in so many of the lives she touched. With much love and thoughts from Helen and Shirley from Tauranga.

Dear Geoff, Aidan, Natasha and families, I will always remember Heather as my dearest, vibrant, and beautiful friend. We shared years of history, and distance was never an obstacle for us. Together, we cried, laughed, and explored our deepest thoughts and feelings. Every trip to New Zealand would include a call or a visit with the wonderful Rodley family. Heather was the most giving and caring person I knew, always treating everyone with kindness. She dedicated herself to helping those in need, giving her all in everything she did. When my parents were still with us, Heather took care of them, visiting daily and offering her support. She truly was a gift that kept on giving. My beloved, beautiful, and joyful Heather, my visits to New Zealand will never be the same without you. I love you, Darling. Fly high until I can join you. Kyra Black (Gilbert).
