In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Archiamma (Grandmother)

We remember her most fondly in the warm kitchen, where the rich aromas of her cooking made every corner of the home feel like a blessing. Every meal she prepared was an act of love, a quiet offering of care and devotion to her family, just as she lived her life, humbly, faithfully, and full of grace.

In moments when the world seemed harsh it was Archiamma's soft voice, her gentle touch, and her unwavering kindness that soothed my heart. She always welcomed us with the compassion and patience of a true servant of Christ, teaching through her actions what it meant to love unconditionally.

A woman deeply rooted in her faith, Archiamma found joy in the simple things, in prayer, in family, and in passing on the treasures of our heritage. She lovingly taught her granddaughters Sinhala nursery rhymes, just as she wove the Church into our daily lives. Even now, those melodies echo in my heart, a reminder of her eternal presence.

Her rosary was never far from her hands, and her prayers were never far from her heart. She lived her life by the example of Our Lady, full of humility, courage, and devotion. Her faith was the light by which she guided us, and it remains a beacon for us even as we grieve.

Though we are all heartbroken to lose her, we take comfort in knowing she is now resting safely in the arms of our Lord, reunited with those whom she loved who went before her, embraced by the eternal peace she so faithfully believed in.

Her love, her faith, and her beautiful spirit will live on in all of us, until we meet again.

May perpetual light shine upon her, and may she rest in peace. Amen.
