Merv passed peacefully after a short illness in his 86th year at Waikato Hospital, surrounded by family. He was a much-loved father of Dianne, Greg (dec), Susan, Julie, Karla and Bradd. Grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many.

A Service for Merv will be held at The Seddon Park Funeral Home Chapel, 49 Seddon Road, Frankton, Hamilton on Tuesday, the 6th of May 2025 at 10:30 am, followed by the cremation at The Hamilton Crematorium, Newstead.
