Evan Francis Mills died peacefully at Auckland Hospital on Friday 2 May shortly after his 80th birthday. Loved brother of Stephen and loved uncle of Duncan and Jonathan, and little brother to his half sister the late Doreen Gavin.

A gathering to commemorate Evan’s life will be held at the chapel at North Shore Memorial Park Cemetery, 235 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany, at 2pm on Thursday 8 May.  Cremation to follow.

Dearly loved life and spiritual partner of Chavah Aima for 22 years, caring step-father to Christopher and Elizabeth Franco, and beloved grandfather of Arokai, Thanewood, Valiseo, and Rudolfo. A deeply spiritual world traveler and noble man. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A traditional Requiem Rite followed by the release of his ashes into the sea and a guest reception will be held on Sunday 11 May, 3:30pm at McHughs of Cheltenham, 46 Cheltenham Rd, Devonport, Auckland.
