Tributes

Such a lovely service bringing back all the memories of Gary. Gary was a big part of mine and all my siblings lives when growing up - always good to have around. Always seeing the humourous side of life while quietly building a lovely family with June. You will be missed dearly Gary. Rest in Peace! David

To my dearest Dad You were more than just my father, you were my friend, my mentor, my advisor and the man in my life that I held every other man up to. Words cannot express my feelings for you, they are simply not enough to show how much you meant to me. Thank you for all you did for me, for Mike, for my kids and for my grandchildren, you were truly the Patriach in our family. I love you so much and really dont know how I will cope without you here. The knock on the door, the chats we had, the love you showered on me, Mike, the grandkids and great grandkids and the hugs that enveloped me making me feel like a kid again, safe and sound. If I can gain any comfort its knowing you are starting a new journey, in another world with Mum, the love of your life, by your side again. Rest in peace my darling Dad. Just pop in now and then to watch over me again. Love you 4ever XXXX

Gary was an amazing human being. Soulmate to June whom he missed so much since she passed away. He was my "other" dad from the moment we met and I regarded him as such since Lisa and I became best friends and "sisters". I truly adored his sense of humour and kindness. Never had a bad word to say about anybody and was an amazing father, grandad and poppa. I can't even express how much he is going to leave a hole in my heart. All I can do is be there to support his family as best I can. Remember all the awesome times we had together and the conversations that I shall treasure. Forever in my mind and heart. My hero for sure. Hope you are reunited with your soulmate Junie. Rip Gary the world will be a sadder place without you in it. Lots of love and always big hugs Your other daughter Freddie XX 💕

Gary, you always had a smile and a handshake for me, and I enjoyed our many conversations and laughs over the years. You prided yourself on being a man of keen intellect and wit, always up for the challenge of a crossword or anything which would challenge you not only mentally but physically too. I know the kids all adored you, and your genorosity always made them smile. It was a pleasure to hear your life stories over the years, and I am honoured you were so happy to share them with me. Thanks for all your help, laughs and friendship. Shane
