Maureen Audrey Smith

10 April 195210 May 2025

SMITH, Maureen Audrey, (nee Hanley) It is with great sadness that we advise of Maureen’s sudden passing on Saturday, 10th May 2025. She fought a brave battle with her dementia, but did not let it get her. She passed with overwhelming love and dignity, with her family by her side. Aged 73 years young. Loved and cherished wife of Warren for the past 53 years. Dearly loved sister and sister-in-law of Neville and Heather Hanley, Judy and the late John Whipps, Sharron Hanley and David, Patricia and the late Charlie Quinn, Bryan and Linda Smith, Marilyn and Ross Simons. The coolest Aunt and Aunty M to all her nieces and nephews. Maureen will be resting in her office at Macdonald & Weston Funeral Home. At Maureen’s request flowers will be very welcomed when calling. Maureen’s service will be held in the Lindisfarne Methodist Church on Friday 16th May 2025 at 11am following with an interment at Eastern Cemetery. Message to “Smith Family” PO Box 632, Invercargill, or you can visit Maureen’s tribute page at mwfunerals.co.nz/s/maureen. If you are unable to attend the service you will find a live stream on Maureen’s tribute page.
