Such a legend who will be missed by so many. I remember our last conversation vividly about, sports. family, faith and missions, so Tony. You have had such a positive impact on my family and all those your life has touched. A solid brother who always had wise words and strength. See you in the life big brother, enjoy your heavenly drums.

Tony was a true example of a servant leader. His quiet, humble manner and solid dependability were evident in his life from the first time we met. His love for the Lord his God was seen in the music he played and the beautiful songs he wrote. We have many happy memories of time spent with Tony and Carol and their girls, going on family camping holidays and long weekends away, making music, worshipping and serving together in Church. Philippians 1:3-6 always makes me think of this precious family. Sending our love across the miles, and grateful in the knowledge that Tony is now safely home with his saviour Jesus and patiently waiting for us to join him there.

I have such great memories of 30 years of knowing Anthony. His love for Jesus, his family and friends, and his passion for music. You were an amazing drummer, and thank you for backing me and the worship team for so long at living word church. Thanks also for including me in the music group, Deepwater. What fun we had making the CD at the Boatshed Whakamarama. You will be sadly missed by all who know and love you. See you again, sunshine, when we meet in Heaven.x

As a teenager in the 80's Tony was like my big brother. I had so much admiration and respect for him. He taught me so many life skills like how to drive a car, play the drums, ride a motorbike, play rugby league.and that there's plenty more fish in the sea when I had girl troubles. Tony was great to be around and we were very close for several years. RIP in Jesus's arms my friend.

My heartfelt condolences to Carol and to the whole family. It is a shock and a sad moment knowing brother Anthony's passing. First of all... I known you by name not for face or a person yet. Ptr Rod and Ptr Sue Collins ask the Church to keep you in our prayer. Then you came alive... so this is Anthony Lindsay. Anthony- He is like a brother to me in this country. Wherever I meet him his always ready for a hug, chat, and a laugh. Being under his leadership in the worship team of LWFC is full of fun, joyful worship and team unity. Whether day or night...rain and shine. Through thick in thin. Tears and joy. So easy to sing the songs everytime he play his drums...you can really feel the presence of God and passions every time he play them. Remember when you aske me to sing a special song for your beloved wife? It's an honor to be ask by you and to sing while your playing your guitar. The last performance of us: Carol, Me and my daughter Jasmine..."Once upon a time." I really do miss that time. Memories I wouldn't forget. My nickname to you is "Bro" or" oh brother " which makes you laugh. Ever ready to lend a hands when my car need fixing. You will be missed deeply by everyone you touched their lives. It's not a goodbye... but see you later bro. Keep playing and make that drum play heavenly music and have fun, ok. Thank you for all of that Brother Anthony.

It is with great sadness we say goodbye to our beloved friend. He touched our hearts and our lives and will always be remembered. Goodbye Anthony. We love you and you will always have a place in our hearts. You are in the better place now, praising and worshipping God in His very presence. You will be greatly missed by many friends and your beautiful family. We will never forget you brother. Always praising God to the very end. I met you at your workplace through Pastor Rod Collins, then you came back to Living Word Faith Church and I was happy to pass the drums over to you. I got to be in your band, Brothers as the drummer. Nah jokes. I was a singer alongside Peter Whareaitu, Kraig Rimaha, your bro Shane, and the other Shane. You guys were the worship team for Promise Keepers for many years until they stopped holding it in Tauranga. We had to change the name to Brothers and Sisters and another sister joined us too. I brought a few cars your way for work to be done, and so did our daughter. I will always remember that you painted a vase metallic red for me because I asked really nicely. I'm gonna miss you Anthony, knowing you were always there to catch up if I needed to talk paint-work, music or about annoying Christians. Hahaha. Love you bro. Please look after my mansion for me, and paint the front door metallic red please. I'll see you again when Jesus returns. xo

I attended church with Tony, and worked for him as a teenager in his paint shop in Gate Pa. He taught me how to tape up a vehicle and eventually let me have a go at painting. I was always fascinated and impressed by his skills. I was 16 and had endless boy troubles. Tony spent many hours talking sense into me and letting me cry out my problems. He always listened, he was always wise. I am now many years older but I always remember him and those years with such fondness. I have never seen his drum skills matched. He could bring heaven to earth on those drums.

Sarah Louwrens

Such a great man. Will miss your witty humour. Love you Tony. ❀️
