Marion and family-a real shock to learn of Peters passing! I go back a long way with Peter as childhood friends with my Dad as our teacher in the Waitaangas and the antics we got up to then. After that I lost contact but caught up with him again in Fletcher Challenge days at Mckee and Mangahewa. As all other Tributes have mentioned he was a positive and fun person to be with and this rubbed off onto people around him. RIP Peter. Thinking of you. Dennis and Evelyn Mills, Urenui.

Marion and family, Very sorry to hear that Peter is no longer with you all, but I'm sure his positive spirit and energy will always be with you. He (and you) were very welcoming when we worked (and ran) together in the mid 90s, and on later family visits. Our climb of Mt Taranaki via Carrington Ridge was a real day to remember. So glad you were able to visit last year, and see the other end of the globe. Our thoughts are with you all. Sending love to all the fam during this sad time. A favourite Peter memory for me is him laughing at approx 8 year old me trying to politely cut a slice of tomato for my sandwich and it squirting and squishing everywhere until it no longer resembled a tomato. He then got another one and showed me the trick to gently piercing the skin and slicing without squeezing. Tomato cutting has been a breeze ever since!

The most amazing man who showed me love and kindness as a child, an amazing father to the girls. Sending love to Marion, Rach, Dana and all the family. Xox
