From the same BEC in Taiping to 3 daughters in the same school year, there were plenty of gatherings & occasions my family spent in the presence of dear ‘Dr Ah Thong’. Simple, kind, ever faithful and full of integrity. “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Eternal rest grant unto him, Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul rest in peace. Amen.
With heartfelt sympathy Matthew 7:16 “You will know them by their fruits” Matthew 7:18 “A sound tree cannot bear evil fruit” We thank the Lord for Raphael, his life and legacy and pray he has heard our Lord’s words face to face. Matthew 25:21 “Well done good and faithful servant , enter into the joy of your Master” Amen
I remember Uncle being so joyful about my Baptism there. He treated the family to dinner in celebration and got me some thoughtful baptism gifts. The time I got to spend with him, we had interesting conversations and I was blessed to have experienced his wisdom and kindness. Please be assured of my prayers. He will be missed.
