To a lovely and loving woman, thank you for being such a bright light. You were always so grateful, kind, and full of appreciation for even the smallest things. Your hugs, your warmth, and your gentle words meant more than you’ll ever know. Watching your service in the middle of the night… I don’t know who’s cutting onions, but my heart truly aches. I’ll miss you deeply. Thank you for the memories, the laughter, and the love. Rest in peace, beautiful soul. 💐🤍

My memories of Aunty Marie was one fun loving lady who brought laughter and happiness to many people including my Mum (Joan McManus), who like Marie was simply the best. Congratulations to the family for a beautiful service that we watched live from the Gold Coast. Aunty Marie would have been so proud of you all.

Our family are thinking of you all today. Dad (Terry) asked me to especially pass on his love to everyone. Marie had a very special place in Mums (Pats) heart. When Mum talked about Marie and she often did, it was always with a smile on her face. "She was a hardcase", Mum would say and often said to me (Mandy) if I was slightly naughty, "you're just like your Aunty Marie". In 2020 we (Tony and Mandy) visited Aunty Marie and it felt like she hadn't changed since the last time I say her. So quick witted, funny and such a good story teller. Mum, you are now reunited with Dad, I bet the card table is full. Plenty of banter and definitely no cheating. I still remember all the picnics at the beach and sitting patiently on the riverside while you were whitebaiting. The earthquake when we were in Westport when we all jumped into bed with you. Your beautiful gardens. (That's where I got the garden bug from) They said you would never walk again after you had your stroke all those years ago, but you proved them wrong. A real battler determined to get on with the cards you had been dealt. You are leaving an enormous void in our lives. You will always be in my heart. I love you mum.

All the others knew Aunty Marie was grandads favourite. Mum shared a time when Aunty Marie was playing up for Nana, everyone was seated for a meal, and Nana said, Percy have a word to Marie please". Well without batting an eyelid Grandad said to Marie "How are you Marie"? A true Cavill, so much fun, laughter and love.
