CLEAVER, Henry Wiremu Ehipa - 18 May 1941 - 18 May 2025. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Henry at his home, in Riverton, on Sunday 18th May 2025, on his 84th birthday. Dearly loved husband of Shirley for 62 years. Much loved father and father-in-law of David and Tania, Suzie and Paul Harrington, Bruce and Jasmine. Much loved by all his grandchildren, Nicholas, Benjamin, Brydon, Maggie and William, Bailley, Sofia, and Henry. Dearly loved son of Thomas James (Johnson)* and Margaret Babington Cleaver*. Much loved brother and brother in law of Jimmy* and Noeline, Rowena* and Kenny Tomlin, David*, Ian*, Lois and Kevin Mulqueen, Norman*, Donnah and Betty*. Arthur*, Allan* and Linda* Gorton, Robin and David Frew, Colleen* Ewen and Irene Mathieson, Maurice and Kathleen Gorton. Much loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to a service to celebrate Henry’s life at the Colac Bay Hall on Friday 23rd May 2025 at 11am. Followed by interment at Riverton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. John Ambulance would be appreciated. I was saddened by the passing of a real Riverton Rugby Legend. Henry was always good for a yarn and a laugh whenever you met him, and in later years he loved sitting in the grandstand checking out the talent of the Riverton teams.
