Bereavement Panui on behalf of the Day Whānau, regarding the passing of their beloved brother, Gary (Gazza) Day who sadly passed away on Wednesday 21st May 2025 in Auckland. Gary is currently laying in state here at Haven Falls Funeral Home until the funeral service. Whanau have advised us that the funeral service will be held here at Haven Falls Funeral Home on Saturday 24th May 2025 commencing at 11.30am followed by a private cremation.

Gary, Big Gazza So gutted to hear of your passing 😢 So many memories shared with you, from you being security at my daughters 15th bday party to you spending a Christmas with us at Lenas in kahurangi valley Thames, when I decided to bring a bit of furniture home from there and you suggested we swap cars you took my Falcon & I took your Blue Mu lol I was like omg Whata bloody piece of poop as It was hardly getting up the hills, I stopped to ring you just before the Bombays to say I think somethings wrong with your car and you were like yeah nah its just a bit slow, you had left 45 mins after us & as we were chopping and changing lanes on the Bombays moving over to the slow one, we hear toot toot and what do ya know it was you flying past in my Falcon 🤣🤣 Gutted I can't be there today so will catch up when I get there say hi to Eddy, Tony & Kody Kodes for me ❤️ R. Moe mai ra cousin Gary aka Muka I remember you came to visit us at our house in kawakawa. I was 10 or 11 years old. Was cooking us some breakfast. And I asked you, how many eggs you wanted. You said 'a dozen' I nearly dropped them all 🤣🤣🤣 I thought you were joking. But you were serious. Which made it even funnier. Many fond memories cousin. Will cherish them always. Aroha mutunga kore 🤍
