I only ever got the chance to meet one of my grandparents, but I was lucky enough that Nana Kath treated me like I was one of her own grandchildren. I will never ever forget the good times we shared together. Falling asleep in her lap when she and Bob were drinking with my parents at Oceans late into the night, her picking me up from school whenever mum and dad couldn't and (unintentionally) teaching me to swear on the car ride home, smuggling me extra chocolate and lollies at her Christmas dinners, sending me down to the Matapouri fish and chip shop to pick up our dinner on Saturday nights, criticising the red carpet outfits with me in each Women's Weekly magazine and most importantly, giving me the warmest hugs. Nana Kath truly glowed from the inside out and her smile, laughter, and enthusiasm for life was infectious. Despite what this photo might say, I couldn't have asked for a better role model growing up! Nana Kath thank you for being a wonderful friend to my parents, and for always making me feel so loved. We will all really miss you, and I love you so so much. I hope they have wine where you are. Rest in peace.

I would like to share a quote that reminds me of Kath. “Friends we love don’t go away they walk beside us every day.” Kath, your friendship and legacy will live on in all of us. Thank you for being such a wonderful friend and for being a dedicated loving wife to Bob. You will be forever missed.
