Bruce. You’re a warm and loving person. I always enjoyed my work related interactions with you for Smiths Sheetmetals. The light hearted but professional conversations we had. Always brought a genuine smile to both of our faces
Bruce has to be the most positive, enthusiastic and giving character I've been privileged to call a mate. We felt helpless the last 18 months as you fought the good fight, but the whole time you stayed focused on the positive outcome. Your passing leaves a huge void but I feel grateful for your friendship of near on thirty years. Hit them straight and long old buddy. Rest easy. Mat
Bruce what an amazing life you had between the golf course and your boating it was so full. My memories of you lead me to us as kids. You in your football gear us watching on or all playing in the huge back yard in Wanganui. The boat you built in the back yard in Auckland who would have thought you could do that but you did! All that yummy seafood you bought home for us to eat and who liked crayfish as a kid, if only I appreciated it then. You always were true to yourself and stood tall and for those you let into your life your loyalty was never in question. I'm so proud of how you lived your life and the courage you showed to the very end. You will be forever in my heart love you.
Bruce was one of those people who just resonated with your soul, A 'Salt of the Earth' guy who let you know without a doubt where you stood. He wasn't out to prove anything to anyone - very happy in his own skin. His uncomplicated, no nonsense way of viewing things made him very comfortable to be around. Bruce your authenticity is a gift left to those who knew you, which live on in ways you probably weren't even aware of. One thing that comes to mind is a food waste management lesson you had with my daughter Kirsten when she was about three years old. She is currently carrying on that ethos with her children ...... seeds planted from 35 years ago. I've always had the deepest respect and admiration for you and the memories we have shared over the past 40 plus years will continue onion my heart for ever.... Love always Chris

Dad, You have always been a beautiful strong man who i looked up to and will be forever proud of, and will always hold close to my heart. You made me the strong person I am today, the one i'd go to for guidance and gave me strength to get through the rough and the one who made me feel everything will always be ok. Miss you Dad 💙🌅💖🫂 Love always Jenny, Anton, Makalo,Khloe and Xavier
Bruce, you were a wonderful brother-in-law and great mate. A huge gap has opened up in our family that can never be filled. The most independent, organized, no nonsense person we have ever met. We will miss you hugely but are so grateful you are now at peace. Love you forever. Maree and Len
