MONK, John Bernard:
Died peacefully at Summerset in the Sun, Stoke, on Thursday May 29, 2025, aged 81 years.
Dearly loved son of Kit and Jack. Brother of Maurice, and David and the late Graham, and Keith.
Much loved father and father in-law of Ayral and Sarah, Dee and Craig, Brad and Jess. Loving grandad of Colby, Yulana, Flynn, Pippa, Libby, Noah, Sienna, and Fletcher.
A service to celebrate John’s life will be held at the Stoke Methodist Church, 94 Neale Avenue, Stoke on Friday June 6 at 11am.
In lieu of flowers donations would be gratefully accepted in John’s honour to the NZ Blind Foundation and can be made at the service.

It was with sadness that I read of John's passing. He was a very well respected gentle man and a massive part of the community at Summerset in the Sun. Through many challenges faced in life, even in recent years with the fire in his Villa, he carried with determination and never let anything get in the way of his independence, with Blake always at his side. Rest easy, John. You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race.
