Uncle George and Aunty Sue. Combined with Nicky (Nick) and Sarah were my first family friends. With the connection of Margaret and Graham I knew an amazing friendship and love that never went away. My heart goes out to the people that knew and loved him. Love Rhonda

In the short time of 5 years that we have known George, we have come to love you, your sense of humour, your devotion to your family and the warm welcome you gave to Amy our daughter, your daughter law. You will have a place in the hearts of all who were honoured to know you. Rest in peace.

I've known George for over 40 years, ever since I first came to New Zealand. He's been always a real friend to me, always helpful and reliable, never failed me, except this one time .... I talked to him on the phone a few days before he passed and he promised to wait for me to come back from Europe. This is the only time he hasn't kept his promise. I'm so glad that I managed to tell him how I valued his friendship. I didn't want it to sound too final, so I didn't elaborate on what I valued in him. But I'm sure that he knew that it was his integrity and principles. He lived his life by them. He was appreciated and respected by all he worked with, always rock solid reliable.
