Tributes

Hello Ali, Gabrielle & Sam. I was deeply saddened to hear of Paul's untimely passing last week from my colleague & friend, Anthony Ujhazy. He sent through the link to the Service, and I was there with you all in Spirit - watching on-line. What a beautiful & fitting tribute to a life lived well & to the fullest. Paul, Anthony, Andrew Evans, Don Richmond & I were all employed together by "Tele" as new graduate engineers, in Jan 1982, fresh out of our respective uni's. We each spent many years designing cardiac pacemakers, implantable defibrillators & device programmers within the R&D Dept, firstly at 296 Burns Bays Rd, and then at 14 Mars Rd, both in Lane Cove. These were heady years - both for our design teams and for the company's growth into international markets. Lots of life-long friendships were formed, and in some cases still continue today, some 40+ years later. I too shared the journey with several Tele colleagues in a subsequent move to Cochlear during its early days. Over the years, Anthony regularly updated me about your 'moves' across different countries and Paul's various roles. But it was his non-vocational pursuits that stand-out. During the Tele years, I remember his passion after returning from mapping the deepest caves in PNG. His pic's of underground cathedrals were inspiring! He was so enthusiastic about their 'finds'. Thank you for sharing from your own experiences about Paul's life as husband & dad. He really was a passionate supporter of Life - so many ways. May he rest now in our Father God's arms - freed from disease and the concerns of this world. Until we are reunited with the Father & Paul, may blessings & peace rest upon each of you, as you live out his legacy & wisdom. Shalom. Bruce 9-Jun-25

A beautiful man that lived a beautiful life. So kind and generous, we are eternally grateful to have you in our lives.

I knew Paul and Gabrielle in the 90's when they were living in Paris. Paul was one of the kindest, warmest and most generous men I have had the privilege to know. Paul was a true "mensch" and he will be sorely missed by many.
