Tributes

I never met Sybil personally, but I have known her daughter, my best friend Judy for 25 years and I feel like I knew her personally. Judy spoke often and highly of her mother. Over the years, I have always admired Sybil’s independence and interested to hear how she was doing, the places she lived, traveled, and to know she had loving family and friends. My deepest condolences. Rest in peace and God bless.

I will always be grateful to God for Cybil’s loyal and constant support whilst Superintendent of Dublin Central Mission. Everything Cybil did she did with great enthusiasm and dedication and when she saw a need was always quick and ready to help. Her love for her family played a vital part in her life and she did everything to ensure that they had a great start in life. However in all of this she was sustained and strengthened by a deep faith in God which remains an inspiration for many of us who knew her. Paul and Audrey Kingston. Dear Judy, Val, Millie and Noel, I’m so sorry for your loss. I still remember your mum so fondly from our days in Dublin. She was always kind, supportive, and especially caring toward us students far from home. She made us feel so welcome — even cooking dinner when we visited. Her warmth and generosity will never be forgotten. Thinking of you and sending heartfelt sympathy. ⸻
