Philip let me know about your mum's passing yesterday. He had been unwell at the time of her death but has recovered well. I remember well visits from your mum and dad to us all in Palmerston North. They were always joyful happy times as were the times that we visited in New Plymouth. It was beautiful to attend the funeral through the video link and I loved learning more about her life. Her marching, tennis and love of music which came through in the service with such beautiful music. I laughed too at the comments of your dad with his bow tie and Citroen motor car. He always looked so smart and was so proud to take us all for rides in his car and show its qualities. They really were a special couple who have lived fully. I am reminded of St. Iraneous and the quote: The Glory of God is a fully alive human being. They embodied this to me.
