It was an absolute privilege to know Bain for 67 years. Bain was exceptionally gifted in so many ways. He achieved spectacularly during his time on this earth. The only thing Bain didn’t know is what he couldn’t do and he could do everything. Many treasured memories my dear friend, you are so missed and will be remembered forever, mate. Our thoughts are with Rosalie and family. Ray & Sandy

My friend Bain. Bain and I met in the late 1960’s. We both lived in Birkenhead. Bain was a true inventor with a vivid imagination and do it attitude. No project was too large or too complex for Bain. We shared similar interests and together we created some things that we should have commercialized. For example low cost fishing buoy RF locator beacons and a precision direction finding apparatus for the Gypsy rose so he could drop many buoyed fishing Ines at night and easily locate them the next day from many miles away I remember in the late 60’s Bain building a kind of Sauna grotto and I helped him line it with sparkling LEDs – the latest tech back then. Bain loved machines. He had bulldozers galore, diggers of every size, even a sawmill. He used them all to his advantage and built a magnificent castle for the family. Bain was a mechanical genius who created many unique things, and solved many difficult mechanical problems. Bain had a unique mental ability to size up a problem and immediately see the most effective and usually simple solution. Over the last three years Bain and I frequently discussed his illness progression, and over the last 18 months I have frequently visited Rosalie and Bain. These visits have been a great pleasure to me, despite the sadness I felt as I watched his health deteriorate. Bain Primrose. Inventor, Mechanical genius, successful business man, loving husband and father. R.I.P Bain. You will forever be in my memory as a real hero. Tony Blomfield.
