David was a founding Trustee of the Coastal Taranaki Health Trust and served for over ten years, helping to create the CoastalCare concept and building retaining so many health and social services for Coastal Taranaki. It is with sadness that we heard of his passing. He was a true gentleman with huge integrity. CoastalCare was only one of many community organisations that he contributed to over the years. Our thoughts and condolences go to Raewyn, and family. May he now rest in peace

Raewyn, Jo and Family Our heartfelt condolences to you all. We truly know how emotionally challenging the past few years have been for you all. The mutual support shared between our families, whilst having our Dads together at Jean Sandel, has been very special and appreciated, as of course they are not circumstances any of us would have chosen. As you know, it’s impossible to describe how heartbreaking it is to slowly loose someone you love to the cruelness of dementia, and the grief that comes with losing someone in this way, even before they are gone. We have seen the incredible love, care and support you have all shown David throughout, and know how deeply he was loved and cherished. Raewyn your love, devotion and dedication was immense. We hope you all find comfort in the many wonderful memories you have of David and feel reassured in knowing that he is now at peace. Thinking of you all and sending our love and deepest sympathy. Denise & Nic Fenner, Pauline Gibson and Family
Raewyn and family, our thoughts are with you on your sad loss. Many memories of David as a neighbour on Kahui Road. Rest in Peace David.
Sorry to hear about your loss. Have many happy memories of time spent at the farm, turnips etc. I was reminded today of David’s handshake - we used to compare his large hands with a bear’s paw as youngsters. I’m glad we got to see you both even though it was only briefly in May 2024. Thinking of you all at this time.
Raewyn and family, my sincerest sympathy on the passing of your magnificent Totara. David will be sadly missed by all from various families.
