On July 24, 2026 peacefully, at Woburn Masonic Home, with family at his side, aged 86 years. Dearly loved husband of Penny for 61 years.  Much loved father and father-in-law of Eleanor and Stephen, Emily and Will, Dorothy and Daniel.  Loved grandpa of Matthew, Joanna, Caleb, Lucas, Ben, Lucy, Sam and Toby. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Woburn Masonic Home. A private cremation has been held.  A memorial service for Ian will be held at St James Church, Lower Hutt, at 2pm on Tuesday 1 September 2026.
