Sad hearing Bruce has played his last Pipe. Condolences to you Alice and family. Bruce was a man who never seemed to change. Knew him from early school days to the present and he was still Bruce with a smile and a cheery welcome. RIP Bruce.
i love you moff i hope you liked my haka
Dear Alice and whanau In my time with the pipe band I had the pleasure to get to know Bruce. After leaving new plymouth I kept in touch with Bruce and became good friends. With Bruce this happened easily. It was a sad time when he had to give up piping. Know he has gone to a better place where he will once again play to his hearts content. My life is richer for knowing Bruce. He was a true gentleman and gave his time to anyone who asked. He may be gone but not forgotten RIP my dear friend always in my heart. Robert Fraser
Hey guys. Wow hard to believe I won't be able to ask all those awkward questions of Moff like I use to! We had some very interesting chats over the years. Really enjoyed these and will miss them Moff you certainly will be missed but never forgotten. Rest assured your whanau will be looked after as I know you would want. Sorry I can't make the sendoff but will be watching from The Tron. Thoughts and prayers with you all on this tough day. RIP mate KJ
As well as being a good human being Bruce will always hold a special place in our memories because he was the person who steered us towards working with Vantage windows and Doors. Which turned out to be an excellent decision for which we are forever grateful. That and the fact he cooked many a sausage at our Xmas BBQ. Our sincere condolences to Alice and family RIP Bruce Kindest Regards Geoff & Penny Lay

Time to place your pipes down and sleep Bruce, you've earned your rest ...ill be sure to think of you and smile when I hear the pipe bands play. Helen x
Dear Alice and Family We were so sad to hear of Bruce's passing. Such a lovely man taken too soon. Bruce was a great neighbour who always had time for a chat when we were walking past doing school and kindy drop offs over 20 years ago. He is one of life's genuinely good people and I'm sure he will be missed by many. Please reach out if we can help with lawns or gardens or if there is anything you need. Love from the Carr family 'down the road' x
