Sad to find out yet another relative has passed away. John was my cousin whom I had spent some of my holidays with in Dargaville and on trips in the far north when I was young, so have some adventures to remember like surfing at Baylies beach on wooden boards, caving near Kaiwaka with acetylene lamps and even a trip to Cape Reinga, not to mention being butted around by one of his goats at his home in Dargaville. Sad I lost contact with John and his sister many years ago when I moved to Tauranga but however those old memories are still treasured. My condololences to Rowena and David for the loss of their one of a kind Dad .
