It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Hughes Anaru, who endured a long illness.

Descendent of Te Arawa & Mātaatua waka. Son of Rueben & Lizzie Pene (nee Ōtene). Adored whāngai son of Hughes & Muriaroha Anaru (nee Pene) and brother to many.

Hughes will be taken to his house at 39B Roger Street, Rotorua this afternoon at 3:00pm where he will lay for the next two evenings for the duration of his tangihanga.

There are no set times for manuhiri, you are free to arrive at your convenience between sunrise and sunset.

Burial information time to be updated on this post, however he will be taken to Kauae to be buried with his mum and dad.
