I wish to convey my condolences to Garry, Lane ,Gian and the entire Mansell family for Marilyn’s passing. I will always cherish the times spent over the years with Marilyn and Garry at Langs, sharing meals, laughter and 5 o’clock drinkies on the balcony. She will be deeply missed. Bryce
The Bosley family would like to send our condolences to Garry, Lane and Gian Mansell, and to their families, for the passing of our dear friend Marilyn. Marilyn and Alma were especially close friends and the instigators of many wonderful times for our families, memories for which we will always be grateful.
Marilyn always bought us outstanding birthday presents when we were kids and like Mum said, her food was awesome. She was an all-round good sport, love and condolences to all of her family.
It is with sadness I write these words while remembering the good times our families enjoyed together. Marilyn was my Boss at work and my friend at play. She was kind, quirky, fun and loyal. Her cooking was legendary and we shared many a meal together. I do remember one occasion at our home in Titirangi. We had all had a few wines when the topic of ironing came up. Marilyn and I were very effusive in our dislike of this. Marilyn got my iron and dangled it by the cord over the rail of our very high deck. Someone saw what was happening and intervened. I reckon it would have gone and I wouldn't have cared!! We didn't see much of each other after our family moved to Brisbane. For a long time we would get an email at Xmas with all the news of the year. However Marilyn, Garry, Lane and Gian were not forgotten. Rhys, Adam and I often reminisced about the good times we had together and there were many. In more recent times Gian and I have been messaging. It was then I learned of Marilyn's illness. We are so sad for her family, she will never be forgotten.
