I have many memories of John, We occupied adjacent beds in the Sidi Rezegh barracks at Waiouru Camp during artillery training in CMT. We were both connected with VUW. We were both interested in many aspects of the law, particularly the nature of legal persons and corporate personality. I enjoyed talking to him. He could always see the humourous side of things. There were two lunches together. He was a diligent public servant and a very thoughtful one.I regret that after we came to Waikanae to live my connections with Wellington people including John have been few or nil., but I shall deeply miss him and treasure my recollections of his wisdom as a political scientist of note
John was a guest lecturer at Victoria University of Wellington back in 2003 (Political Science 100 level) He was absolutely enthusiastic and so engaging that I decided to take some Public Policy papers at 200 level. RIP John and my condolences to your family during this sad time. Thank you.
