Jas Jas was a very fine person. I will always remember his friendly smile and disposition both on and of the Hockey pitch. And it was not just Hockey. In more recent times he became a very dedicated athlete competing in many distance road races. He and his brother Has are very worthy representatives of a fine Indian Hockey Heritage in Wellington.
When Ramesh Patel let me know that Jas had passed away it brought back happy memories of schoolboy hockey. Jas and Hus were fierce competitors on the field and gentlemen off it. I had contact with Hus after our school days and Ramesh kindly showed me the ancestral home of the Dullabh family when we travelled to Navsari together. It was interesting to learn of Jas's life from the various eulogies delivered at his funeral. As a forward in hockey Jas's early retirement from the sport was a blessing in disguise. Health and safety issues improved in his absence-the kindness he demonstrated in all other aspects of his life were absent on the hockey field when he played! It was Socrates who said "The unexamined life is not worth living". Jas examined life to the full and leaves a legacy of example for all of us who follow in his footsteps. My best wishes and condolences to his family and friends.

So sad to learn of Jasβs passing. At the Wellington Marathon Clinic, Jas was my first pack leader, and from that point on, a buddy as well. He gave me great support and guidance. He had a calm manner, was always in good humour, and had a ready smile. Condolences to his family and friends. Jas will be missed, but he holds a special place in both my memory and my heart.

Jaskaka was a kind, gentle, curious soul, and we were so lucky to have known him. Lots of love family
We are so deeply sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories of Jas from growing up with Neesh in Wellington. He always had a smile on his face, and we loved seeing him whenever we visited Neesh at New World and at our many many nights getting ready at their home to go out. We were always welcome. Sending our deepest condolences and lots of love to you all. With love, Kribs and family
A life long friendship from the days at Wellington Technical College's 1st eleven to the present time has finally gone. Lovely person, generous and helpful, caring and loving finally at rest.We will miss him very much indeed. Our thoughts are now with Lilla and her family and his brother Hasmukh. Thanks Jas for all you meant to us.A good friend indeed. With love from Rosemary and Hans.
We all shared a special bond from the very first day Jessmama arrived at 22 Rose Street with his curly mop of hair, backpack in hand β and my mum refusing to open the door to him at first. From that moment on came a lifetime of unforgettable adventures and loving memories shared between both our families. From the hot springs in Rotorua, to the white-water rafting trip where the raft overturned β and the shocked faces of Sherena and Neha β to parachute jumping with Nila, Ed, and Ely, the way he was with Krishaan and Tia every moment became part of a story we will always treasure. I especially pleased that Jessmama got to meet Suresh in our last visit to Wellington. One of the proudest and most beautiful moments was at Nila and Edβs wedding, where Jessmama lovingly fulfilled his Mama duties by giving Nila away to Ed with such pride and happiness. Though he is no longer with us physically, in our traditions the soul continues its journey, and his love, laughter, and spirit remain with all of us.
OUR SINCERE CONDOLENCES TO ALL THE FAMILY. May JASVANTBHAI'S Athma Always Have Eternal Peace Om Shanti Shanti Shanti π πππππ
Rest in peace, my friend. May GOD receive your good deeds and give you an eternal happiness and peace. Amen
So saddened by the news of Jas's passing. What a hard working , gentle, kind and generous man. I first met Jas at the Wellington Marathon Clinic many years ago and had the pleasure of sharing countless hours with him running and chatting during the runs around Wellington on Sunday mornings. Condolences to Lilla, Anesha and Sherena, Jas was a real keeper and will be missed by many. Rest in peace Jas.
