MURRAY, Brian Francis on 10 May 2026, aged 78 years after a long battle with Parkinsons.
Beloved husband of Fyvie for 55 years.
Loved father and father-in-law of Siobhan, Eva, Eleanor and Aaron.
Treasured Poppa of Xavier, Lachlan and Magnus.
Adored baby brother of Maureen (dec), Isabel and James.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinsons NZ would be appreciated.
A service for Brian will be held at the Karori Cemetery Main Chapel, 15 Rosehaugh Avenue, Wellington on Monday 18 May 2026 at 1.00pm, thereafter private cremation.

Berys and I extend our deepest sympathy to Brian’s family. He was a versatile, highly rated and widely respected colleague during his career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. He was popular with Ministry staff at all levels, having a great sense of teamwork as well as a strong intellect and keen sense of humour. He showed great courage throughout his long struggle with ill health. Brian will be long and well remembered by all of us who had the privilege of working with him .
