Dearly loved husband of Lois.
Loving father and father-in-law of Justine & Noel, Jarrod and Natalie & Wai.
Devoted poppy to Emily – Rose, Ryan, Grace and Oliver.
Son of the late Jack and Jessie of Dunedin.
A heartfelt thanks to the staff of Karori Village - Metlifecare Retirement Village for their care and support of Russell.
A service for Russell will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 375 Adelaide Rd, Newtown, Wellington on Thursday 30 April 2026 at 2:00pm, thereafter private cremation.

I was saddened to hear of Russell's passing, we grew up together in oakwood avenue in Dunedin and played sport together with his Mum, Dad and sister. Me and another friend Alan Stevenson were best man and groomsman at his wedding. deepest sympathy to all his family. -Martin Trent

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss Aunty Lois and family. Uncle Russell was such a great, kind and hard working man. I remember him lovingly talking of his grandkids and family. He was so proud of you all. Rest in peace Uncle Russell.
