Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Taranaki Base Hospital, New Plymouth, on 19 June 2025, aged 83. Dearly cherished husband of Marianne Malone. Treasured father and father-in-law of Chris, Claire & Jan, Michael & Viv, Jaqueline & Kim, Vicki & John, Darryl, and Stephanie & Tony. Loving grandfather to 18 grandchildren, including Michael Poutu who was raised by Marrianne and Alf, 27 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Precious uncle and friend of the Hoeta, Sybe, and Malone whānau. A Rosary for Alf will be held at 5.00pm on Tuesday 24th June at the home of Alfred and Marianne, 32 Caledonia Street, Hāwera. A Requiem Mass to celebrate Alf’s life will be held at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Kaponga, on Wednesday 25 June 2025 at 11.00am, followed by burial at Kaponga Cemetery.
