REID, David John, passed away suddenly on 8 February, aged 76, at North Shore Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Wonderful husband to Lyn, married 56 years. Much loved father to John & Brendan, very special father-in-law to Alle & Elaine. Amazing Poppa to Casey & Sorcha. Admired by his brothers Garry & Paul and sisters-in-law Jeannie, Carolyn & Suez. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Loved and respected by all who knew him across many communities, including The Cheesecake Shop, Purity Foods, Birkenhead City Cricket Club, and Settlers Lifestyle Village. Our heartfelt thanks to the Ward 5 team for the kindness, care, and respect shown to David. A service for close family and friends will be held at North Harbour Chapel, Dil's Funeral Services, 185 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany, on Saturday 14 February 2026 at 10.30am.
