HAIDAKIS, Haroula (Hara) (née Kontou) – Passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday 31st January 2026, at Mary Potter Hospice Newtown, aged 75 years.

Dearly loved wife of Kosta.

Loving mother and mother-in-law of Anastasia & Heath, and Elvira & Chris.

Devoted grandmother of Zoë, Amelia, Keira, and Phoebe.

Daughter of the late Giorgos & Elvira Kontos.

Sister and sister-in-law of the late Apostolos & Rita, Asimo & Dino, Niko, Christos, Voula & Vasili, and the late Haralambos.

Loved by all her wider family and friends.

Special thanks to the staff of Mary Potter Hospice for their care and support of Hara.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral and Mary Potter Hospice may be left at the service.

Friends and family are welcome to offer their condolences at Hara’s home on Wednesday 4th & Thursday 5th January, 4pm onwards.

A service for Hara will be held at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral “O Evangelismos tis Theotokou" (Annunciation of the Birth Giver of God), 3 Hania Street, Mount Victoria on Monday 9th February 2026 at 12:00pm, thereafter interment at Makara Cemetery.

Dearest Kosta, Anastasia, Elvira, Heath, Chris, Zoë, Amelia, Keira, and Phoebe We are deeply sorry for the loss of your beautiful wife, wonderful mother and loving grandmother. She really was one in a million. and we be greatly missed by all.
