Peacefully at Home on Thursday, 29 January 2026, aged 77. Dearly loved husband and soul mate of Marie.

Cherished father and father-in-law of Karl & Jane, Stacey & Mike, Aleisha & Nathan, and Calven (dec). Loved Granddad of Tara, Liam, Riley, Lucy, Kate, Josh and, Briana.

A service to celebrate Barry’s life will be held at Eagars Te Henui Chapel, 46 Watson Street, New Plymouth on Tuesday 3 February 2026 at 2pm. 

In preference to flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice Taranaki. For those unable to attend, Barry’s funeral will be livestreamed via his tribute page.

So sorry to hear of Barry's passing. As a recent member of NP Joggers and Walkers i enjoyed many a chat with Barry as he strode along, despite his health, on Sunday mornings. Condolences to Barrys family.
