Dear Gary, Karen, Cushla, Jill and Andrew, Wayne and Donna, and family. We were deeply saddened by Shirley’s passing. We will always hold fond memories of our wonderful friend — her warmth, generosity, and hospitality over many years at the family home in Lepperton as well as fun times spent with you all at Urenui Beach. Her memory will live on in our hearts. Sincere condolences, The Horton family - Lucy, Jane and Dave, and Lee
So sorry to hear of Shirley’s passing. What a wonderful, bright, friendly and creative lady she was. I spent many years with her in the Taranaki Doll Club. She loved making her porcelain dolls and creating and sewing beautiful costumes for them. I still have one of the lovely dolls she made and dressed. And then there was her collection of beautiful vintage dolls that she refurbished. She also worked for me in my bookshop several times when I had a holiday. Goodbye to a special lady.
Condolences to the Stonnell family. I have special memories of being invited to stay at Urenui beach with the family. Two large tents outside the bach. We had such fun at a time when it meant so much to us. Beautiful lady RIP Vicki Hellier (Souber)
We are blessed to know Shirley and her family❤️. She was a lovely lady and she raised beautiful children. What a life she had and imagine the celebration in Heaven going on as her life is celebrated on Earth. Thank you Wayne & Donna for being the first to come to our house in USA and from there our friendship grew to the rest of the family. Wonderful memories and looking forward to many more. God Bless you all🙏 Pete & Cleo Rowe
To Gary ,Karen ,Jill ( the ones i remember best ) and all the Stonell family who will probably remember me ,and our family on Te Arei rd and then Upland rd ,farming days and days at Bell Block school .I remember well your mum trapsing you as youngsters to all our school events ,probably to make sure Gary and that Maindonald boy weren't up to mischief. Or when our family visited yours so our fathers could talk farming. Those are great memories, and lovely to see a photo someone has put up of mum in younger days very much as I remember her.my Deepest sympathy to you all .May you treasure her memories of the many long years she loved you all .God's Blessings to you as family at this sad time .Lindsay Maindonald, Eltham
I am saddened to read of Shirley's passing. My heartfelt sympathy to all her family. Shirley was a lovely lady who always made you feel welcome in her home. Many happy times shared in the 'dolly world' Photo was taken 20 years ago and is some of the Taranaki Doll Club members prior to one of our shows in the Merrilands Hall. Shirley is in the blue jersey, standing 3rd from right.
Fond memories of a lovely lady RIP Shirley
