HUNTER, Alexander James (Alex).
Alex passed away peacefully on Monday, November 24, 2025, aged 88 years.
Much loved husband of Lesley; beloved father of Allan, Jan, and Graeme; and devoted Grandad of James and Liam. Son of James Simpson Hunter and Edna May Hunter (née Thomas); and cherished brother of Brian and Ann. A friend to so many.
He will be remembered forever for his integrity, faithfulness, and writing talents. His courage, strength, and life of faith is an inspiration to us all. Alex will be deeply missed but is now at peace with his Lord Jesus Christ.
A service to celebrate Alex’s life will be held at the Orewa Community Church, 235 Hibiscus Coast Highway, Red Beach, Auckland, on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at 1:30 PM.
