To my beautiful Muma, You were and will always be so deeply loved. Your courage, resilience, hard work and determination to survive and succeed will forever be remembered and cherished. I share your love of animals and understand it completely, and I will always treasure your wonderful sense of humour, sometimes cheeky, sometimes inappropriate, but always funny and uniquely you. Your love of nature, the flowers, plants and trees, is something I have always shared with you, and it brought us both a sense of grounding and peace. Your passion for cooking and baking is also something that runs in our family, and a similarity I proudly share with you. We also shared a deep love for the ocean, sailing, fishing, and the salt air — so many things in common that connected us in a way only we understood. I loved that we shared the same passions… you just got it. Your love for your grandchildren, and your long, warm, friendly chats, will be missed more than words can express. The past few years have been some of the most meaningful and precious of my life. During that time, you and I rebuilt and strengthened a bond that will last forever. We learned that love and forgiveness can heal everything, that understanding one another and choosing love above all else creates a relationship that becomes unbreakable. Those conversations, those shared moments, and the honesty between us will stay with me always. Being able to spend time with you during the last few weeks of your life was an honour and a gift. Those quiet moments, the stories, the laughter, the tears, and the gentle closeness are memories I will hold in my heart forever. The beautiful connection you formed with Leon and Kayla will also live in their hearts forever. They adored you, and you loved them with such warmth, pride and joy. We loved you dearly, Muma/Grandma, and you will be so deeply missed. With all our love, Helen, Leon, Kayla, Stack, and all our furry friends who adored you too. xxx
