In Memory of Victoria and Roberts Huckleberry Fynn. I only met Fynn twice, and it was an instant connection with an easy going dedicated happy young man who loved his family, the outdoors and his fishing trips with his dad. His ability to connect with people was a god given gift he had, therefore, his choice to down the building tools for the Kitchen was the start of his dream to become a recognised Chef followed by the dream of being awarded a Michelin Star one day. From the staff at Rodney College Fynn possessed a rare and beautiful blend of qualities, starting with a profound humility. Despite his considerable talent, he never sought the spotlight. His achievements, of which there were many, were always spoken of quietly, and he treated every person he encountered with genuine respect, regardless of their station. His nature was inherently personable; he had an effortless charm and a remarkable ability to connect with people. Yet beneath that warmth lay an iron will. Fynn was deeply determined, approaching every challenge with a focused resolve that inspired those around him. When he set his mind to something, you knew it would be accomplished with excellence. Perhaps his most defining characteristics were his giving and caring spirit. Fynn was the first to offer help, not just with big gestures, but in the countless small acts of kindness he performed daily. He lived with a genuine sense of purpose, understanding that life was about more than personal gain—it was about contributing to the well-being of others and making a positive difference. He was always willing to help out and continued to do this once he left Rodney College. His passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew him, yet we find comfort in celebrating the indelible mark he left on this world.
