Ivo D’Silva - Even though he has passed on, he continues to live in the hearts and minds of his family and close friends. My family and I are lucky and privileged to have met and known him. What a remarkable personality! Professionally brilliant, an amazing person devoted husband and father and a caring friend. Personally I am grateful to Ivo for getting me my first job when I first landed in Ras Al Kaimah. Ivo was the helping kind. We shared amazing family gatherings, delightful trips to neighboring emirates and some thrilling “Trouk” sessions! He messaged me on March 31 to say he had another fall. I called him and we spoke briefly. He messaged me to wish us Happy Easter and I messaged back hoping he was celebrating Easter with his family. It saddened me when he said he was still in the hospital. I wished him well. He surprised me with another message informing me that Pope Francis passed away. He ended his message with “Simplicity is the essence of life “ We did not communicate thereafter. With all that he achieved, Ivo was a simple and lovable man. He rests in eternal peace. It is hard and painful time for his loving family to see him go. Dear Shelly, Michelle, Lorraine, my family and I share your grief. You and your families are on our minds and in our prayers. Adios Ivo. Of course we will meet again!
