It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved mum, Avila, who passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, 25 October 2025, surrounded by her family. Adored mother of Fiona and Ingrid, she is now reunited with her husband Bill, her treasured brothers Phil and Mick; Garney and Papa. Beloved member of St Chads Huapai, and the Huapai Country Club and adored mother-in-law of Chris and Tim. Mum, you were one of a kind, and you touched the lives of so many. You will continue to inspire us all to live a life full of joy and curiosity, and to embrace life. A celebration of her life will be held at St Chads Church, Huapai, Auckland on Monday 3rd November at 2pm.

What a wonderful blessing it is to have known Avila. Her joy of life and being one of the nicest, most caring people anybody could hope to meet is a gift we will always treasure. We can only begin to imagine the loss her beloved family must be feeling. Our hearts and prayers are with you all.
