Dear Ray, I want you to know how deeply grateful I am for the open arms, love and warmth both you and Fay showed me when Jared brought me into your lives. It meant everything to us. Being welcomed into the Horan family is an honor I will always cherish. Please rest peacefully knowing that I will take care of Jared for as long as I live. Thank you for being apart of raising him to be the incredible man he is today. I promise to love and support him always. Love you, Ray. Grumpa was a steady a rock for my brother's and I. Our best childhood memories were with him and Grandama Fay. I'm so grateful for the time we cherished together and feel blessed my kids were able to meet their Great's. He will be dearly missed and will think of him every day. I love you Grumpa, and will see you around someday.

I'm so grateful to have spent so much time with you throughout my life. You taught me a lot of life lessons when I was younger and I'll always be thankful for that. I really enjoyed our chats on the patio at Te Maika and fishing adventures. May you rest easy and peacefully.

Ray - I feel so lucky to have gotten to meet and spend time with you and Fae, both in New Zealand the two times I visited with Ethan, and many other times over facetime. You and Fae built such a wonderful family which I felt so welcomed into. I will treasure the memories with you at Te Maika where you showed me the tradition of catching fish right off the beach for dinner! Your memory will be forever cherished by your family and those that knew you. Much love - Emmanuelle

Papa, I will always cherish our times out at Te Maika and when I would swing by pillans point always leaving with a box of lemons…. Thanks for all the memories and lessons you have taught me throughout my life - how to fillet a fish, chop wood for the fire, rig up a surf caster, drive the boat (you still had a bit to learn about boat safety! haha). I will miss stopping by pillans point for a catch up and a cuppa after surfing at the mount and fishing at the heads at Te Maika with ya. Great innings old fella. Love Toby

Thanks for all the love and support for myself, Jared, Kiel and Ethan. I don’t know what I would have done without both you and Fay. You both instilled great values and ethics in my sons and I will forever be appreciative. You treated me like a daughter, which meant everything to me. Thanks for our last few phone conversations - I am glad we were able to have them. XX

Grumpa.. thanks for all the memories over the years. As a kid you encouraged and supported anything outdoors. From being there for my first water ski, helping surf cast off the sand when everyone else went on the big rocks and coming to support netball from time to time. In later years we shared a bit of humour, you always teasing I equally teasing you back. Thanks for the last few phone calls.. still teasing me about how i love to spend money. We will miss you. You only get one Dad, I’m privileged that Ray was mine. As a child I remember him being firm, fair and honest and this set me in good stead for life. I loved it how you and Mum followed our sports activities at all levels and at many venues. Thankyou for all the lessons and support for Sandra and our family. Also for all that you have done for us over the years. Rest in much deserved peace, you fought a brave fight. Be with mum now and catch her up with all the news. Love Kevin and Sandra
