In Loving Memory of Luisa Qeleseinikau Mate.

With hearts full of sorrow and gratitude, we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Luisa Qeleseinikau Mate. A woman of boundless love, radiant spirit, and unwavering strength, Luisa left this world leaving behind a legacy of compassion, joy, and deep devotion to her family and community.

Luisa embraced life with open arms. Her laughter was infectious, her presence comforting, and her heart immeasurably kind. She found joy in the simple things sunny days, shared meals, and the company of those she loved most. Her family was her world, and she poured her soul into nurturing and uplifting them.

She was a proud and devoted mother to her two beloved sons, Joseph and Edward Jnr, who were the light of her life. Her love for them was fierce and unconditional, and she instilled in them the values of kindness, resilience, and integrity. They were her greatest joy and her proudest legacy.

Luisa was also deeply committed to her work, approaching every task with passion, diligence, and a generous heart. She touched the lives of many through her dedication and her ability to make everyone feel seen and valued.

To her friends, colleagues, and all who knew her, Luisa was a beacon of warmth and sincerity. Her kindness left a lasting impression, and her memory will continue to inspire those who were blessed to walk alongside her.

She is survived by her sons, Joseph and Edward Jnr, her loving family, and a wide circle of friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

A viewing will be held this Saturday from 2pm–4pm at Davis Funeral Home Grange Manor 400 Dominion Road in Mt Eden, Auckland, for Luisa’s friends, colleagues, and family in New Zealand to say their goodbyes and pay their respects.

Rest peacefully, Luisa Qeleseinikau Mate. Your light will never fade, and your love will live on in all of us.
