So sorry to learn of Lynn's passing. We enjoyed her company on many occasions and remember her beautiful stitching. Her work was classic and understated much like Lynn herself. Please accept our sincere condolences. From her friends at Opunake Embroiderer's Guild.
We were absolutely saddened to learn of Lynn's passing from her daughter Phillipa. Our sympathies go to Phillipa, Alister, Anne-Marie, Alex and Rachel Leask and to Gregg and Rose Dayman. Lynn has been a very long time friend to John and myself. John and Lynn's late husband David met as apprentices at the Railway Workshops and I met Lynn and David as a young married couple. Subsequently David was best man at our wedding. Lynn was always a wonderful friend, and we had many happy times together. It was always entertaining, and we loved our times at the Waikanae cottage. When my brother in law married, Lynn arranged the flowers for that small wedding at our home, and also helped out in the kitchen. What a wonderful person, so loving and wise, such a good friend always, so talented in so many ways and I treasure even more now the chatelaine necklace, brooch, and embroidered articles she made and gave to me. I wear the necklace and brooch with love for her. How we will miss her.
In memory of Lynn, my dear friend from college days, through to encouraging Les and I to begin a new and enjoyable life in a Summerset Village, just as you and David experienced. Fondly remembering all our good times and lengthy phone calls. Love Dianne Dyne, (nee Pycroft)
A lovely lady, admired by all who knew her. Thank you Lynn for being a friend and sharing your wonderful knowledge of embroidery with all of us fellow embroiderers. It was a pleasure knowing you. Rest in peace. Xx Delwyn
Such wonderful memories of working with Lynn at NZIHT, so sorry I cannot be there to celebrate her life. Was so lovely to catch up with her again at Summerset. A very kind lady, reunited with David.
In memory of a dear friend and my matron of honour. Lynn we had a long and happy friendship. Peter and I have lots of happy memories of our recent river cruises with you and David. May you both now rest in peace. Love Bernice and Peter Brooks
