Peacefully at Tainui Village, New Plymouth on Thursday 21 February 2019, aged 80.
Loved son of Arthur and Cath (both deceased).
Loved and respected Dad of Mark (Florida, USA).
Cherished brother of Kevin and Colleen, Brian and Lorraine (deceased), Shona and Ray Gardner, Cushla and Mike Carrol.
Special thanks to the staff at Tainui Village for their care of Roger. A donation to Parkinson’s New Zealand would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
A Catholic service for Roger will be held at Eagars Te Henui Chapel, 174 Lemon Street, New Plymouth on Tuesday 26 February 2019 at 10.30am, followed by a private cremation.

Greetings and loving thoughts to my dear cousins.Fond memories of sharing our childhood times with Roger at Sole Road. The ride on the cream truck with Roger and Peter the spending of half pennies on chewing gum the anticipation of waiting for the tooth fairy the lovely Christmas days and the glorious Christmas tree decorated by Aunty Cath the pile of wood and the kitchen cats the wonderful country garden the love and respect all intertwined in our collective memories,May Roger now find peace for all eternity till we meet again on the road to heaven.Dear cousins you have been Rogers hands and feet for so long you have held the Christ light for him .May your days be filled with peace .Well done faithful cousins.Dear Mark the love of your father will comfort you on your life journey .
