Jim & Gwen have invited us in their Home in 1990, when we travelled NZ as a young couple. We have spent a great time with them with a lot of interesting talking and laughter. In 2002 we visited them again together with our children, Michael & Simona, they too, enjoyed very much their wit and wisdom. Forever grateful to Jim and Mrs Ried for the time and friendship they gave me when I was just a kid off the streets of Palm Nth . I was pretty wayward but jim took the time to teach me and mrs Ried always with a smile hot meal and acceptance of me and my past indiscretions. The greatest gifts you can give your children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence. Gwen and Jim gave these gifts freely. Gwen and Jim were spoken about a very highly in our house when growing up. My mum and dad worked for them when i was a baby. (Raewyn and Jim Adlam) even since mum and dads passing i often think of the nice things they would say about them. Please accepted my deepest condolences to the family and know these are sent with much loving thoughts of a special lady.
